The Bachelor 5 debuts tonight, starring Giants quarterback Jesse Palmer as the man who gets to choose from a bounty of women. In the two-hour debut, which starts at 9 p.m. ET, ABC promises new game elements and says that “Jesse makes ‘a terrible mistake’” during the first rose ceremony. (Maybe he gives a rose to Chris Harrison?) Jesse, who endearingly refers to the woman he chose as “the missus,” tells Zap2it.com that the women were told they will always place second next to football. “It was made very clear to all the women that football is my priority. The missus, I think, is understanding of that and really wants me to succeed.”
