Exactly six months to the day that it premiered the show’s first season, ABC launches The Bachelor 2 tonight at 9 p.m. ET. The as-yet-unnamed 28-year-old single guy will select from 25 single women on his quest for a mate, although on tonight’s show, which is apparently a prequel, we’ll meet more than one guy and more than 25 women, plus get an update on the first Bachelor. More than 3,000 women applied for this show, ExtraTV reports; ABC is currently seeking a third bachelor for The Bachelor 3. Also, in November, ABC will launch The Bachelorette, during which Trista, from the first season of the show, will seek a partner from a group of 25 men.
