Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney get married

The Bachelor 13 stars Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney have done where few other Bachelor couples have: they got married. While I’m not quite sure if they count as an official franchise-formed couple, considering Jason actually dumped her on the show, the show needs all the help it can get with its success rate.

The ceremony was yesterday at the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., and was taped for broadcast a week from Monday. Terranea Resort on the coast of Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif. Trista and Ryan Sutter attended, as did DeAnna Pappas and Jesse Csinsak, while American Idol’s Jason Castro sang “Over the Rainbow.” Molly was wearing a $45,000 dress.

People Magazine reports on the ceremony and reception as if it stumbled upon a scoop (“People has learned”) instead of being given the story. The magazine focuses mostly on the wedding and reception details that everyone has been led to believe actually matter, like what kind of flowers were in the centerpieces and the shape of the tables.
