Bachelor video game preview makes it look even more ridiculous than we imagined

Hard-core gamers still have to wait until June 8 to get their hands on the hottest video game of the summer, but this preview will probably make them even more excited for this technological and game play breakthrough: The Bachelor: The Videogame.

The screen cap previewed in early March was ridiculous enough, but the trailer—narrated, of course, by Chris Harrison in his “everything I say is serious, really, I swear” voice—is comedy gold. For example, he talks about “the fun of flirting with your favorite bachelors and bachelorettes” on the game, which will be available for both the Wii and Nintendo DS.

There is a bit of a fantasy element to the game: The preview shows a black contestant on The Bachelorette, which like its sibling, is whiter than snow on mayonnaise. But besides the fact that the graphics and games look like early 1990s era CGI, I’m particularly fond of the way pillows seem to be used in the video game to block sexual advances.
