The Apprentice: Martha Stewart

Martha Stewart’s Apprentice judge and MSLO chair Charles Koppelman will be paid $3 million

Martha Stewart’s left-hand man will be paid $3 million this year, part of which apparently pays for him to fondle his cigar every week on The Apprentice: Martha Stewart.

AdAge frames their story about his salary saying that Charles Koppelman, the chair of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, is “set to receive up to $3 million for his regular appearance on NBC’s ‘The Apprentice: Martha.’” But that is apparently just part of his job, as he is also supposed to “source, structure and negotiate merchandise and television opportunities.”

The total comes from “an annual compensation of $725,000,” plus “75,000 restricted shares that will vest over time. Each share would be worth $20.35 based on the MSLO stock price on Oct. 21, the date of the new contract, or around $1.5 million,” AdAge reports. “He will also have options to buy a further 200,000 shares in the company.”
