Martha’s Apprentice won’t be renewed
The most unsurprising non-news of the day is that The Apprentice: Martha Stewart won’t be renewed. The show has not been cancelled, as it will finish its first-season run and concludes with a live two-hour finale four days before Christmas, on Dec. 21.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, “Sources said that NBC has passed on ordering another round of episodes.” But “[a] spokesman for NBC stressed Sunday that the show always had been scheduled to run for only one cycle,” the paper reports.
Since its debut, Martha’s version “has pulled in an average of 6.8 million viewers.”
