ArchivesSunday’s finale of The Apprentice 6 was watched by an average of 7.9 million people.
That represents “an increase of about 2 million in the number of people who typically watch the show,” The New York Daily News reports. And it was “its best 18-49 rating and total viewers average … since a few weeks after its January premiere,” according to Media Life.
Media Life says the show “finished stronger than several other on-the-fence [NBC] shows have done recently, such as ‘Law & Order: Criminal Intent’ or any of the network’s recent Monday 10 p.m. dramas. And it’s still very upscale, which makes it desirable for advertisers.”
Donald Trump has previously said the show has been renewed for a seventh season, but NBC has yet to make that announcement. Still, its future is in question, in part because it “was the show’s lowest-rated season by far, drawing fewer than half the viewers it had during its seasons one and two peak,” according to Media Life.
