ArchivesOn last night’s The Apprentice 6, Donald Trump left us hanging until next week’s live finale, when he’ll pick one of the four remaining candidates to be his next lackey. Frank, James, Nicole, and Stefani remain.
Instead of giving each candidate a task to manage so they can prove their worth, or prove that they’re incompetent, Trump had them work in pairs, each of which also had two fired candidates, to create a commercial.
This didn’t really give them time to demonstrate much more than how unbelievably annoying they are. And I’m not just talking about their voices, but between Nicole’s bleating and Frank’s speed-meets-The Sopranos, it’s hard to listen to any of them—and I say this as someone who has a voice that sounds like someone strangled Frank Oz while he was performing Kermit.
Anyway, James was micromanaging his actors so much they should have called their union rep; Nicole was too busy flirting with her boy-toy Tim at the shoot to do anything other than kiss up to the executives; Frank runs around like a squirrel on speed; and Stefani still doesn’t seem like someone who’s even been on the show all season.
Not surprisingly, NBC’s site plays a real commercial for Renuzit Super Odor Neutralizer instead of the craptastic ones the candidates created.
The finale airs Sunday at 9 p.m. ET.
