Last night’s episode of The Apprentice 3 featured a meltdown and some great fights; the f-word was flying as the teams worked to renovate seaside New Jersey motels. However, even though the hotel names were prominently featured, considering that Erin described one as “a fleabag motel,” it didn’t seem like they were paying big bucks to be featured on the show. That distinction clearly went to Yahoo!, whose site was used by guests to review hotels, and whose name was mentioned twice during the boardroom. We were informed after the show that searching for “Apprentice motels” on Yahoo would show us the customer’s reviews of both properties. And there they are: the reviews for Magna’s Sea Garden Motel and the reviews for Net Worth’s Surfside Motel. The proprietors of the properties are now trying to redeem their reputations—and trying to cash in. The Surfside Motel’s introduction says, “Now you can feel like one of the Apprentice contestants. Come visit our newly remodeled rooms and experience the Jersey Shore in a whole new way!” Penicillin not included.
