cruise ship hit by wave was to be included in Apprentice product placement shoot.
The cruise ship that was hit by a 70-foot wave was heading to New York to be part of an Apprentice shoot. Norwegian Cruise Lines paid more than $1 million for the Norwegian Dawn to be featured on the show, the New York Post reports. “Norwegian Cruise Line admitted the ship’s return had been pushed up a week before departure—from 10 a.m. Sunday to 5 a.m.—but attributed the change to ‘operational reasons’ and refused to elaborate.” A passenger told the Post “he was convinced the ship had been pushing to make port” in order to make the scheduled shoot Sunday morning. A spokesperson for the cruise line “denied the captain was under any pressure to hurry back.” Donald Trump told the Post, “We would love to have had them, but obviously they weren’t able to make it.”
