The exceedingly drawn-out, Regis Philbin-infected Apprentice 2 finale last December will not be repeated this year. Instead, the finale, broadcasting live from NYU will last for a single hour, airing on May 19. With this week’s episode, that means there are six episodes to go. At a press conference, Trump said, “At my insistence, I wanted it to be a one-hour finale. We ended up with a reunion and all of this nonsense. Nobody wants that. What they want is a finale where somebody gets fired.” Trump also said that Chris, who he’s systematically refused to fire, has “a problem. He’s got an anger management problem. We talked about it on the show. He truly is an angry guy.” Finally, Bill Rancic will remain in Trump’s clutches, and “will continue to work in sales and marketing on Trump International Hotel and Tower in Chicago,” the AP reports.
