When The Apprentice 3 comes to a close—hopefully not a drawn-out, Regis Philbin-infected, audience-ass-kissing finale like last season—it will end at New York University, not the Lincoln Center like last season. The show “will shoot its live season finale at NYU’s Skirball Center for the Performing Arts in May, university officials announced yesterday,” according to the Washington Square News. The paper reports that NBC “has not officially announced a date or location and are still in negotiations with the Skirball Center and other venues, said NBC spokesman Jim Dowd,” but NYU officials say the show is definitely coming. An NYU administrator “said that NBC contacted him about the 860-seat venue and NYU and the Skirball center started negotiations to make roughly 200 free tickets to the taping available to NYU students and employ about six film and television students as production assistants.”
