Archivesman sues again over Apprentice idea.
After suing in federal court last September, a man is now suing NBC in state court claiming he came up with the idea for The Apprentice. Now, Mark Bethea is suing Mark Burnett and Conrad Riggs, saying that “Bethea pitched the idea to Burnett and Riggs in 2001 and they later lifted ‘substantial and integral material’ from ‘C.E.O.’”, his proposed reality TV series that also starred Donald Trump. Unfortunately, the AP’s story says nothing of what happened to the federal lawsuit, or why Bethea’s now suing in state court, all of which would actually help us understand what the hell is going on.
