pre-Apprentice, Jennifer’s company gave her a bonus, job promoting the company.
Sensing the potential publicity over Jennifer Crisafulli’s forthcoming appearance on The Apprentice 2, her company offered her a one-year contract and “a signing bonus that was ‘not more than $10,000’” to keep her from fleeing to a rival firm, and then ran full=page ads about her and promoted her appearance on their web site. Her new job, according to her lawyer: “increase the image and presence of Douglas Elliman in the market place.” Little did the bosses at Douglas Elliman know that this would soon come to bite them on their asses; they fired her over comments she made on the show. Her lawyer tells The New York Times that she’s “disputing that the basis of the termination was proper” and “hopes that Douglas Elliman will reconsider their position and continue to compensate her as the contract requires, until she finds another position.”
