Archivescritic: Saturday Apprentice eps are better, NBC should split the show into two eps.
NBC airs repeats of The Apprentice 2 on Saturday nights at 8 p.m. ET, and one critic says that we should skip the Thursday episodes, as “Saturday’s rerun, with all its added boardroom material, makes for an even better show.” The New York Daily News’ David Bianculli, who shaved his beard, if you follow the facial hair changes of TV critics, writes that “the additions to Saturday’s show make it significantly different.” On last week’s Saturday ep, the added footage “made Stacie J. more sympathetic, exposed the manipulative power of postproduction editing and, bottom line, made for a better boardroom sequence.” Bianculli suggests that NBC “[s]plit ‘The Apprentice’ into two weekly installments … Expand the task part of “Apprentice” to a full hour on Monday or Tuesday, and present a full hour of boardroom stuff in the show’s current Thursday slot.”
