The Apprentice 2

Mark Burnett annoyed by NBC’s “totally unnecessary” Apprentice disclaimer.
At the end of The Apprentice 2, NBC shows a quick disclaimer that says while producers might talk to Trump about his firing decision, ultimately, Trump selects the victim himself. Even though it says Trump makes the decision, producer Mark Burnett tells Entertainment Weekly that he’s annoyed by the disclaimer: “NBC has made that up. I told them from the beginning it’s stupid and it’s their own weakness. They shouldn’t have it there, because there’s no consultation, and all they’re doing is causing questions. No one consults with Trump.” The network calls the disclaimer “standard” but Burnett says it is “totally unnecessary,” insisting that “The only one[s] I have ever discussed a firing with” are Trump’s right- and left-hand people, George and Carolyn.
