Oh, how the apprentice has fallen. After being dissed at Sundance, Donald Trump’s original Apprentice is now working at Wendy’s. As an AP photo shows, Bill Rancic stuffed food into bags at the counter. And he also put in hours at Home Depot. But don’t start sending Bill your spare quarters yet: he’s not hard-up for cash, but instead working to promote something called the Campaign To Hire America, which is sponsored by an hourly wage job site called SnagAJob.com. The campaign’s goal is “to fill 50,000 hourly jobs by Memorial Day weekend.” All of this sounds very suspicious, like some government campaign to get the kids off the streets, out of schools, and into low-wage jobs before they realize what hit them. That, or Bill’s just whoring himself for a company’s thinly veiled “campaign” advertisement.
