Dateline will air Apprentice stories; “tourist attraction” banner challenged.
Dateline NBC is coming under fire for its plans to air two hours of The Apprentice-related “news” in mid-April. Dateline’s executive producer says his show is “trying to respond to the interest,” while former NBC News exec Larry Grossman says “it’s a disgrace. It’s clearly using the news division to hype the network’s entertainment schedule.” Apparently, this is some sort of problem. There’s news of consequence in New York, where a 450-square-foot banner above the entrance to Trump Tower is pissing off the building’s neighbors. Being is naturally humble and non-superlative self, Trump quietly declared that the banner is, actually, “the biggest tourist attraction in New York” and “New York should appreciate it instead of fighting it.” According to the New York Daily News, a “take-down order will be filed with the Secretary of State in Albany” and Trump could be fined $10,000.
