Although NBC is planning at least two more seasons of The Apprentice, the show’s star has yet to sign on for a third season. The reason: He doesn’t have time to babysit the contestants and come up with new superlatives to describe his ventures. According to The New York Daily News, “Signing Trump to a TV three-peat remains likely, but a lot depends on whether he can find the time.” NBC exec Jeff Zucker says that he hopes that next year “we have to either convince Donald to give up more of his day job or look for the next person in the boardroom. I think one of the things we’re very happy about is that Donald has agreed to next season.”
