NBC moves The Apprentice back to Thursdays after getting beaten by Idol.
NBC is moving The Apprentice between Wednesday and Thursday nights so much, it’s going to get whiplash. On Wednesday, it went head-to-head with American Idol 3, and got its ass kicked: 29.4 million watched Simon Cowell, Ryan Seacrest and a gaggle of awful singers, while 12.3 million watched Donald Trump’s show. Trump was aghast: “It was doing so well. It was No. 1 in a certain slot. It followed Friends. And I think I question the strategy.” NBC is changing that questionable strategy, moving the show back to Thursdays, where it will air at 9 p.m. ET, where it won’t conflict with Survivor All-Stars when it starts airing in a few weeks
