huge debut leads to next Apprentice episode being moved to Thursday.
After debuting big on Thursday night, the second episode of The Apprentice will not be on Wednesday, as scheduled, but once again on Thursday, where NBC has lots of time to fill between Friends and ER. This Wednesday at 8, NBC will repeat the first episode, while the second ep will air from 8:30 to 9:30 Thursday. As to ratings, an NBC press release exuberantly announces, the debut of The Apprentice had “highest new series preview/premiere” ratings of any show on any network since, unbelievably, Joe Millionaire debuted on Jan. 6, 2003. The release says that “NBC Research estimates that 27.8 million viewers watched all or some of” the show; Nielsen says the show “averaged nearly 18.5 million total viewers”—well under CSI’s 27.4 million viewers. Meanwhile, if you wondered where you may have seen restaurant co-owner Kristi Frank before, albeit sans clothes, it was probably in an episode of The Red Shoe Diaries. Mark Burnett tells Inside Edition, which broke the story, that knew about her appearance and, actually, “should have called you myself” because “[y]ou putting it on TV can only help my ratings.”
+ also: “Trump said the men never stood a chance in the lemonade test and doubted if they could have overcome the disadvantage with time.”
+ and: Donald Trump is pissed at CBS.
