apartment rent deal was prearranged; Trump says his hair is “not terrible.”
The Apprentice, television’s newest reality hit, now has its own mini-scandal: According to Page Six, the woman who rented one of the apartments “had previously arranged to rent the pad at a lower price, but played along when the show’s producers asked her to sign a lease at a 27 percent mark-up.” The editors also played with time, as it seemed “like Young saw the apartment moments before the 5 p.m. deadline, when she was really at the apartment mid-afternoon.” The reporter, Deborah Young, writes that she’s “not very comfortable in the role of participant in the newest entertainment craze.” Meanwhile, Newsweek profiles Trump and his hyperbole, histrionics, and his hair. About the latter Trump says, “I don’t say my hair is my greatest strength in the world, but it’s not terrible.”
+ elsewhere: Trump talks about season two, and about the possibility of a successor in his role.
