Canada’s Global network may adapt The Apprentice and air its own version of the show. Execs at the network “have discussions with ([producer Mark] Burnett’s production company) on an ongoing basis, but most notably The Apprentice comes up,” one exec said. The show is popular in Canada, being watched by 1.5 million viewers there each week. The Province suggests possible moguls for the Donald Trump role (assuming Trump just doesn’t buy Canada), such as Conrad Black and “billionaire” prime minister Paul Martin.
