The last two episodes of The Apprentice that began in the middle of the 8:30 half-hour—right at the end of Survivor All-Stars on CBS—were the only two episodes that will overlap. NBC’s Jeff Zucker says, “It was the price of getting moved back to Thursday. Mark understood.” Mark (Mr. Burnett to us) tells The New York Times that he does understand: “It was just unfortunate, but it was only for two weeks. NBC had a temporary problem with their schedule.” That “problem” was an order for two greed-sized episodes of Friends, which left an 18-minute hole to fill before the 9 p.m. hour.
