Thursday, Friends beat Survivor All-Stars, which beat The Apprentice.
On the first night of sweeps, Friends easily beat Survivor All-Stars during the 8 p.m. half-hour, but CBS’ show beat NBC’s The Apprentice during the second part of the eight o’clock hour. 23.1 million watched first-season survivor Rudy go home, while 18 million watched Donald Trump fire a woman for the first time. The Apprentice will stick around to annoy CBS for the foreseeable future: Jeff Zucker said that, in addition to a second season, Donald Trump and his prey “have an appointment on NBC for many years to come.”
