Now that Donald Trump has Kelly Perdew to fetch him coffee and polish his shoes, he no longer really needs Bill Rancic, who was halfway across the country anyway. Still, “Trump said he expects to sit down with Rancic in the next couple weeks to see if he wants to continue his employment,” The Cincinnati Post reports. “Trump has always said he never thought any of the winners on the show would stay with his organization for long since ‘they are all smart, entrepreneurial people who want to eventually go make millions on their own.’” Has Bill done anything for Trump during his time with the organization as “owner’s representative” of the new Trump tower in Chicago? He’s been “involved in tenant sales and overseeing the demolition work at the Chicago site,” the paper says. And Trump is happy with that. “It would be a little bit unrealistic to say, ‘OK, Bill, here’s $850 million, go build a building that’s 90 stories in Chicago.’ Bill is an owner’s representative and he has been extraordinary—. He is still an apprentice and he has learned a lot.”
