ArchivesAfter suffering from lower-than-normal ratings in its new 10 p.m. timeslot, The Amazing Race 9 is moving to Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET. That’s its old night, but not its old time.
The ninth season “has been averaging fewer than 10 million viewers since its Feb. 28 premiere, its lowest figures since the third ‘Race’ in summer 2003,” Zap2it.com reports. The site calls the show’s new home “a fairly wide-open timeslot where no show has been dominant in recent weeks.”
CBS’ press release says nothing about why the series is moving, but says its old timeslot will be filled with “[r]ebroadcasts of CBS’s hit crime dramas and specials.”
