Worse, the segment will offer the second- and third-place teams the chance to compete for a new car. So even if the Weavers lose, praise Jesus, they still may win a prize.
During production, “producers taped a runner-up challenge in which the second- and third-place teams competed to win a new car,” but “CBS designed the challenge to be an Internet exclusive,” Variety reports. The challenge is only six minutes long, and will be available at CBS.com at 11 p.m. PT/1 a.m. ET Tuesday.
CBS is calling the segment a “mini-race,” which is actually a pretty good description of this entire season.
