By far one of the most impressive parts of The Amazing Race is the logistical challenge of coordinating a race around the world. Well, that and the way some couples manage to stay together even though they clearly hate each othr with burning passion. Anyway, just the two days teams spent in Calgary during the final leg of the race involved more than 150 crew members and tons of preparation. For example, “Co-producer Eda Lischman says one person spent three months just handling immigration issues,” the Canadian Press reports. To help them with this task, the production team “contracted to Alberta-based The Producers, Ltd., a company that has experience dealing with celebrities who like to sneak out the back door.” Planning began in November for the February shoot.
