For the first time in the show’s five-season history, a team quit The Amazing Race. During the sixth leg of the race, Marshall and Lance were almost to the pit stop, working on the last Road Block. Once they realized they were the last team, they decided to quit, especially since Marshall’s injured knees would have prevented them from making it to the pit stop in Luxor, Egypt. They were Philiminated on the site of the Road Block, which Phil pointed out was yet another first, as he had actually hunt down and then interact with a team somewhere other than that mat with the earth on it. The bowling moms were able to recover from their last-place finish, which left them stripped of cash; they borrowed from tourists and benefited from a late charter flight that equalized all the teams. The fun continues next week, when either Charla or Mirna—who can tell them apart?—screams at someone else, “Bitch, get out of the way.”
