ArchivesAmazing Race 4 winner Reichen Lehmkuhl has responded on his MySpace blog to reports that he’s broken up with his boyfriend Lance Bass or is dating the singer just for publicity.
Reichen writes that his book, Here’s What We’ll Say: Growing Up, Coming Out, and the U.S. Air Force Academy, “was done before I ever met Lance. I do not date people so that I can ‘use’ them. I’m self-sufficient and happy to be that way. … I am individually financially sound. I date people because I happen to love them. Period.”
He also writes, “I have not broken up with my boyfriend,” and also says he did “not ‘made out with’ anyone at a party while I have been with my boyfriend. … It is all a complete and blantant lie. This person is a liar. Period.”
That person is blogger Perez Hilton, aka Mario Lavandeira, who has taken credit for outing Bass. Reichen says Lavandeira “STEALS from photographers, bloggers, and the general population” and “is a common criminal,” “ugly wind-bag,” and a “disgusting person” who “makes up blatant lies to create interesting stories.”
