Lowest-ever ratings for Amazing Race, Celebrity Apprentice against the Oscars
The competition of the Academy Awards was too much for The Celebrity Apprentice and The Amazing Race, both of which had their lowest ratings ever last night.
CBS’ reality competition ratings among 18- to 49-year-olds “matched its series low, and was down 25% from its premiere’s” ratings, according to TV By the Numbers, which also said that Donald Trump’s show dropped 31 percent compared to last week, also a series low.
Both Survivor and American Idol also had series low ratings last week. Is it just the competition? Viewer fatigue of these formats that have been around for a decade or more? Or just a decline in quality?
