ArchivesCBS has announced the teams for The Amazing Race 12 now that the show’s debut has been moved up to next Sunday.
While the 11 teams were said to be younger than in previous years, their average age is 32.27—and that’s actually older than the average age of The Amazing Race 10’s 12 teams; that was the last season with an entirely new cast, and had an average age of 31.54.
The oldest team are married episcopal ministers who are 49 and 65; there’s also a grandfather and grandson team, ages 68 and 23 respectively. Four of the 11 teams are dating, although one is identified as “newly dating,” and the other as “dating goths.” There’s also a father/daughter, brother/sister, sisters, and two pairs of friends.
