ArchivesCBS is moving The Amazing Race’s timeslot. Again. After moving the show twice this season, first to Tuesday at 10 and then to Wednesdays at 8, the network is moving the show yet again.
The Amazing Race 10 will air Sundays at 8, opposite Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. It’ll be preceded by 60 Minutes and followed by Cold Case, making for a not-quite-cohesive evening. In the press release announcing the schedule, the network said “CBS is making key scheduling moves designed to capitalize on the changing competitive landscape of the night.”
In this morning’s New York Times, which reported that the show had been renewed show creator Bertram Van Munster said, “Ideally, you have your time slot and you stay there. That’s not what happened this time around.” And it’s not what’s happening for the next time around, either.
