While the special episode of BB2 easily beat NBC’s Lost—Big Brother 2had over 11 million viewers versus Lost’s 9.4 million—CBS’ The Amazing Race and NBC’s Fear Factor virtually tied, with 11.83 million viewers watching The Amazing Race and 11.81 watching Fear Factor. Overall, CBS won the evening, but the networks’ plot to schedule shows opposite other shows led to none of the shows getting killer ratings.
