The first season concluded with a finish that was slight more sad than nail-biting. Separated parents Frank and Margarita were on a train headed toward the finish line, convinced and ecstatic that they were ahead of Rob and Brennan. However, the pair of lawyers were on the train ahead of Frank and Margarita’s, and Rob and Brennan arrived at the finish line with plenty of time to spare, giving them The Amazing Race’s prize of $1 million. Still in Alaska and behind by 24 hours, Team Guido was notified that Rob and Brennan had crossed the finish line, ending the race.
