Temptation Island was inspired by an idea for Marriage Boot Camp.
“[A] projected show that never happened in which four couples were to be sent away for intensive counseling” was the inspiration for Temptation Island, TV Guide Canada reports. It would have been called Marriage Boot Camp. Instead, it morphed into Temptation Island, which its producer says works because the cast is “playing with the most important thing—their relationship.”
