Survivor Thailand’s debut won its hour against a rerun of Friends and a rerun of Push, Nevada. The premiere episode was watched by 23.1 million viewers, down a bit from Survivor Africa’s 23.8 million and Survivor Marquesas’ 23.2 million, according to E! Online. However, “the show skewed a bit younger than its predecessor,” according to CBS. The show actually did better than Survivor Marquesas’ debut among those 18-49.
