MTV will air Survivor Thailand infomercial hosted by Ethan, Elisabeth.
A 30-minute show called Survivor: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly will air on MTV “at least 10 times” before CBS debuts Survivor Thailand on Sept. 19, Variety reports. The special-slash-infomercial will star Africa’s Ethan Zohn and Australia’s Elisabeth and will be a “‘greatest hits’ compendium” from the show’s first four seasons. CBS’s marketing chief tells Variety that MTV produced the show, but the network “[doesn’t] look at this like they’re doing a commercial for us.” MTV and CBS are both owned by the same company, Viacom.
