Clay had $420,250 in debt, filed for bankruptcy before the show began.
Shortly before leaving to participate in Survivor, Clay Jordan “was unemployed and collecting $949 in monthly unemployment benefits when a federal judge signed an order wiping away Jordan’s whopping six-figure debt,” according to The Smoking Gun. The site publishes “a list of Jordan’s unpaid bills” from court documents, detailing the $420,250 he owed.
