In addition to the clues previous Exile Island inhabitants had received, Terry was told that the idol was hidden under a rock. Earlier clues pointed out that it was buried and above the tide line. Terry also figured out the mystery of the initial clue, which had the word “why” in quotation marks. Although that seemed to point to letters on trees, it actually referred to a tree that was shaped like a Y. Beneath that tree was a rock, and under that was a box containing a bottle containing the idol.
Meanwhile, La Mina lost yet again, which means that the dysfunctional tribe (the one with Stupid Yoga Guy Aras and Insane Freak Guy Shane) won. La Mina turned on its oldest female, Ruth Marie, even though she thought she was in an alliance with the tribe’s four men.
