Survivor Palau

Survivor Palau finale beats Survivor Vanuatu’s conclusion; Tom does 34 straight interviews.

Survivor Palau finale beats Survivor Vanuatu’s conclusion; Tom does 34 straight interviews.
The finale of Survivor Palau averaged 20.3 million viewers, E! Online reports, noting “That’s up over the 19.7 million who tuned in for the previous edition, Survivor: Vanuatu.” However, fewer people turned into the reunion; only 16.7 million watched. The ratings were enough to beat Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, but not enough to beat Desperate Housewives. The next day, The New York Times reports that Tom did “34 interviews, one after the other.” As one would imagine, Tom was hit with the same questions over and over again, probably because the media is unimaginative and lazy. But Tom handled it with his usual grace, saying to the crew, “I said, ‘How sick are you guys of me? Yak, yak, yak, yak.’ I’m just dealing with it, going from one question to the next, and it’s actually easy that it is the same questions.”
