Jeff Probst will present an Emmy Sunday, returning from Nicaragua again

Jeff Probst will present an Emmy this Sunday, a week and a day after leaving the Survivor Nicaragua production for a few hours to attend the Creative Arts Emmys, where he won his third consecutive Emmy for best reality show host.

That means the Academy will recognize him during the prime-time telecast after dropping the reality host category from it, and also means he’ll leave the production again—although his departure for the Emmys was built into the schedule.

Variety notes that is similar to “the guest actor and actress categories,” whose winners get their awards at the Creative Arts Emmys but they “are still mentioned during the Primetime Emmys, as the winners are brought out onstage to hand out an award.”
