Vecepia didn’t hide the fact that she’s a fundamentalist Christian, but what didn’t necessarily come out during Survivor Marquesas were her feelings toward gay people like fellow cast member John. TV Guide Online reports that she and John “had a sexual orientation showdown of sorts” on the island. Although Vecepia says she wants both John and her lesbian stepsister to be happy, she says that if “one day [they] decided to go straight, then I’d be even more happier. But it’s not something I’m praying for.”
