Chicago Sun-Times TV critic Phil Rosenthal visits the set of Survivor Marquesas, and reports on the logistics and unseen talent that goes into producing the show. Host Jeff Probst praises the crew’s work, saying “[t]he cameramen are storytellers and the editors are uncredited producers” who are motivated by Burnett, “this incredibly inspirational leader.” Rosenthal also reports on this year’s location, the island of Nuka Hiva, and its amenities, which include the virus that causes elephantiasis and sand fleas called “no-no”s that “leave terrible welts on anyone who has left skin exposed and failed to apply a greasy, sickly sweet-smelling insecticide.”
