Survivor is “more dominant” on Thursdays despite lower ratings
Survivor is being watched by fewer people than tuned in a year ago, but the show “has actually become more dominant in Thursday’s leadoff hour as NBC’s comedies and Fox’s ‘The OC’ have declined,” Variety reports.
With 18.98 million viewers, last Thursday’s episode—when Bobby Jon bit it—was the highest rated episode this season. That’s more than 10 million viewers over NBC’s “Joey” and “Will & Grace,” and more than 13 million more than watched “The OC.”
The high numbers helped CBS earn another sweeps month victory on Thursday night; CSI’s strong ratings didn’t hurt, either.
