Survivor Guatemala finale is the highest-rated finale since All-Stars
The finale of Survivor Guatemala was watched by 21.3 million viewers, “the best score for a ‘Survivor’ finale since the show’s eighth edition, ‘All-Stars,’ wrapped in May 2004,” Variety reports.
That’s a couple million more than watched the Survivor Palau finale last spring. Only 14.2 million stuck around for the reunion, although because the show started about 20 minutes late, the numbers may be off.
Media Life notes that Guatemala “was the lowest-rated in the show’s 10-season history,” but Variety points out that the series “continues to thrive. It again dominated its regular Thursday-at-8 slot this fall despite some minor year-to-year ratings erosion, delivering its largest regular-slot aud of the season (20.2 million) last week.”
