Survivor Fiji will have one tribe living in “luxury,” two hidden immunity idols
At the conclusion of Survivor Cook Islands, Jeff Probst introduced the next season, Survivor Fiji.
First, he said that “Survivor turns the tables on two tribes, as one lives the life of luxury while the other is left with virtually nothing.” Perhaps not coincidentally, that’s the exact same thing that Mark Burnett’s other major network reality series, The Apprentice, is doing.
Also new: a “diverse cast” consisting of 19 cast members, the firs time the show has had a cast this size. Earlier, TV Guide reported that there would be “another new way to divide the tribes,” but the preview didn’t even hint about that.
Some of the new cast will visit the new Exile Island, which Probst said is “crawling with thousands of deadly sea snakes” and has “two hidden immunity idols and a twist [that] will drastically complicate the game. … And one of the most controversial decisions ever made by a Survivor will have America talking.”
