Rumors circulating online that Survivor Australia cast member Kel Gleason was attacked in a Canada bar are true, according to an interview he gave to Reality News Online. Kel says that he was in a bar when a man “asked if I was ‘that Indian on Survivor.’” He confirmed he was on the show; shortly thereafter, the man and three others approached him, threw a drink at his face, and then “started hitting me in the sides and back of my head, striking me with broken beer bottles, stabbing me repeatedly.” He was “stabbed seven times in the head and once in the back,” Kel says, yet “[n]obody had stepped in to stop the attack - not waiters, not bouncers.” The men are still at large. Why wasn’t the attack reported? Kel says he “asked the people at the hospital to keep it quiet.”
