At the Museum of Television and Radio, Survivor’s creator, host and first winner had some interesting things to say about the show. Besides telling us to not trust him, Mark Burnett admits he thought Colby’s flag was ridiculous as a luxury item—until the tribe used it as shelter. He also says that he learned what to use the Tribal Council setting for during the second season. And Rich says that he “thought [he] was going to puke” the first time he heard phrases like “the tribe has spoken.”
